I've spent over 20 years in information technology — and the last 6 of those years specializing in solution and enterprise architecture, including the TOGAF framework.

Enterprise architecture as a discipline has existed since the 1960s. Today, the world's largest corporations rely on it to align technology management with business strategy — resulting in lower costs and higher productivity. It works. The evidence is overwhelming.

Yet in Mongolia, I kept seeing the same pattern repeat itself: organizations investing more and more in technology, but their fundamental business problems remained unsolved. The systems were there. The budgets were spent. But the results weren't coming.

The turning point came in the late 2010s, when Mongolia's larger enterprises first began feeling the pressure to implement enterprise architecture frameworks. They were spending on technology — but without the right foundation, those investments weren't delivering.

Then COVID arrived. Almost overnight, organizations across every industry were forced to shift to technology-based business models. The urgency to understand and implement enterprise architecture accelerated dramatically. So did the demand for specialists who actually knew how to do it.

That gap — between the need and the expertise available — is exactly why I founded Vearsal.
